Christmas vehicles may soon be seen on the streets of Tallinn
AS Tallinna Linnatransport will continue the long-standing tradition this year and will provide Christmas vehicles on December 24 and 25.
A special bus, a special tram, and a special trolley bus will travel on unique routes so that everyone who wishes can easily get to the Christmas market on Town Hall Square from different parts of the city. “Christmas is a time of peace, caring, and being with the entire family. During the holidays, people move more with children around the city using public transport. That’s why we want to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of our customers during this special time, which is why Christmas vehicles run on our routes during the holidays. In the Christmas bus, Christmas tram, and Christmas trolleybus, passengers are greeted by Santa Claus, who gives out candy to both smaller and bigger passengers and listens to their poems and Christmas wishes,” said TLT board member Kaido Padar.
He added that during Christmas, nearly 1,000 people are at work to ensure the smooth running of Tallinn’s public transport service. “These good drivers, support staff, vehicle wash workers, and others make sure that the people of Tallinn and the guests of the capital can ride comfortably and safely to their destination even during Christmas. I invite you to be even more caring towards your fellow citizens at Christmas. The recent big snowstorm showed us how helpful and cooperative our people are when the situation calls for it. Leave the car at home for the holidays and use the public transport service, which is designed to save people time and money”.
