New night bus routes to be introduced in Tallinn

Starting from 6 January, residents of Tallinn will have the use of two further night bus routes in addition to those introduced last year: the no. 95 from Balti jaam to Viimsi keskus, and the no. 96 from Balti jaam to Vana-Pääsküla.

Hannes Falten, the Service Director of Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS, says city residents have taken to night buses, which are seeing a great deal of use. “The buses provide a comfortable ride home on weekends for those who enjoy spending time in the city centre at night and those working in catering and entertainment establishments until the early hours,” he said. “When we launched the night bus pilot project last year, we quickly realised how much demand there was for such a service. By working with the City of Tallinn we have fine-tuned the schedules and the logistics of operating night buses so as to ensure a convenient service that meets clients’ expectations.”

The existing no. 91 from Balti jaam to Akadeemia tee, no. 92 from Balti jaam to Väike-Õismäe, no. 93 from Balti jaam to Pelguranna and no. 94 from Balti jaam to Priisle will continue operating as usual alongside the new routes.

More information about the night bus schedule can be found on the TLT website at https://www.tlt.ee/ or on the Tallinn webpage at https://transport.tallinn.ee/.
